Chief Master Sergeant David A. Fish is the Command Chief Master Sergeant for the 97th Air Mobility Wing, Altus Force Base, Oklahoma. He serves as key advisor to the Wing Commander on all matters concerning the force utilization, readiness, training, career progression and quality of life of 1,367 assigned enlisted members, in addition to all C-17 Globemaster III and KC-135 Stratotanker aircrews for active duty, Air National Guard and Air Force Reserve units. He maintains on-going communication with four group and 16 squadron commanders and the Air Education and Training Command command chief master sergeant to ensure the enlisted force is well informed, knowledgeable and understands policies and directives.
CMSgt Fish was born in Youngstown, Ohio, and entered the Air Force on 11 August 1987. His background includes various duties in Services (lodging, food service, fitness, mortuary and readiness), and served as a first sergeant. His assignments include bases in Florida, Korea, Germany, Texas, Washington, South Carolina, and Delaware. In his previous assignment, he held the position as Chief Enlisted Manager, Air Force Mortuary Affairs Operations, Dover Air Force Base, Delaware.
