7/27/2010 - ALTUS AIR FORCE BASE, Okla.  -- The HeartLink program was held at Altus Air Force Base July 14.

The HeartLink program is spearheaded by the Airman and Family Readiness Center to empower military spouses, inspiring the fortitude and strength and providing the resources to meet the challenges of being a military spouse.

The class incorporated fun interactive games, presentations by base agencies and a free lunch. Each spouse was presented their own personal spouse coin by Col. Stuart Shaw, 97th Air Mobility Wing vice commander.

"Whether new to the Air Force family or a veteran spouse, HeartLink is the perfect environment to ask the tough questions and get the right answers in a relaxed and fun atmosphere." said Debra Valerio.

Erin Florisbello was the winner of a prize for bringing a friend to the program.

HeartLink will be offered again on October 20 and childcare is available for those who sign up early. Please call Airman and Family Readiness Center, 481-6761, to sign up.
