97th CES saves bucks, clears runway friction

ALTUS AIR FORCE BASE, Okla. – An image of the Assault Strip after the rubber build-up was removed, April 18. The 97th Civil Engineer Squadron heavy repair shop spent a total of eight hours breaking down and sweeping off rubber buildup from the assault strip April 14 to help keep the flying mission going. The Altus AFB Sexual Assault Prevention Response program is dedicated to eliminating sexual assault incidents through awareness and prevention training as well as education, victim advocacy, response, and reporting.
