Street Smart Briefing

ALTUS AIR FORCE BASE, Okla. – Airman 1st Class Robert Gunn, 97th Air Mobility Wing Public Affairs broadcast journalist, plays the role of a car accident victim during a Street Smart briefing at the base theater, May 21. The Street Smart briefing was held by firefighters with the Florida Stay Alive From Education to stress the importance of safety, accident awareness, and consequences of poor choices such as driving under the influence, texting while driving and not wearing a seat belt. The S.A.F.E. program travels around the world to educate military installations, colleges and professional sports teams about the consequences caused by poor choices while driving. Wing Sports Day

ALTUS AIR FORCE BASE, Okla. – Members of the 97th Air Mobility Wing participate in a basketball tournament as part of Wing Sports Day, May 17. Members from the base represented their units in competitions comprised of bowling, softball, racquetball and a 10-mile bike race. The event brought forth friendly competition between each individual unit allowing Airmen to showcase their individual capabilities and teamwork.
