ALTUS AIR FORCE BASE, Okla. – Airmen assigned to the 97th Security Forces Squadron, fold the American Flag during a retreat ceremony at Wings of Freedom Park, May 15. The 97th SFS led the base in retreat in observance of National Police Week, commemorating those law enforcement officers who, through their courageous deeds, have made the ultimate sacrifice in service to their community or have become disabled in the performance of duty, and pay respect to the survivors of our fallen heroes. Gut Check Obstacle Course
ALTUS AIR FORCE BASE, Okla. – Airman 1st Class Abraham Velez, 97th Security Forces Squadron fire team member, rests after completing the “Gut Check” obstacle course at Wings of Freedom Park as a part of National Police Week, May 16. Gut Check Obstacle Course
ALTUS AIR FORCE BASE, Okla. – Anthony Linares, Oklahoma Highway Patrol trooper helps push helps push a Humvee during the “Gut Check” Obstacle Course at Wings of Freedom Park as a part of National Police Week, May 16. The 97th Security Forces Squadron leadership invited out teams from local law enforcement to compete against Airmen from multiple squadrons in an obstacle course that tests endurance and intelligence through eight different events.
