Jon Adams, 54th Air Refueling Squadron instructor boom operator, performs a pre-brief with U.S. Air Force Airman 1st Class Greg Adams, 97th Training Squadron student at the KC-135 aircrew training center, Sept. 22, 2014. Boom operators are aerial refueling specialists who conduct the offloading of fuel to U.S. Air Force and partner aircraft. ALTUS AIR FORCE BASE, Okla. -- U.S. Air Force Col. Bill Spangenthall, 97th Air Mobility Wing commander; Chief Master Sgt. Bryan Creager, 97th AMW command chief; Master Sgt. Jonathon Taylor, 54th Air Refueling Squadron first sergeant and Master Sgt. Shantay Pierce, 97th Logistics Readiness Squadron traffic management superintendent, pose for a photo during the 2014 Combined Federal Campaign pledge signing, Sept. 22, 2014. Through the CFC, federal employees have donated more than $7 billion to a diversity of people and causes in great need. Last year, Altus AFB raised approximately $93,500 for charities around the world and has set a goal of approximately $90,000 for this year. The campaign will run Oct. 1-Nov. 14 and is intended to promote and support voluntary, cost-efficient and effective philanthropy amongst federal employees.
