Innovative Airman of the Week

ALTUS AIR FORCE BASE, Okla. – Tech. Sgt. Lataura Williams, 730th Air Mobility Training Squadron orderly room and personnel manager, was named Innovative Airman of the Week, May 14. Williams saved valuable time for the 730th AMTS and increased efficiency of the 97th Comptroller Squadron’s resources by developing and implementing a rapid training plan for 24 Altus-based Air Reserve Technicians. Her innovative training approach saved more than 30 man-hours in additional training and guaranteed the 730th AMTS was fully compliant ahead of the Department of Defense deadline. 97th SFS recognizes the fallen defenders

ALTUS AIR FORCE BASE, Okla. – Airmen assigned to the 97th Security Forces Squadron performed 30-minute shifts of the “Guarding of the Wreath” at Wings of Freedom Park, May 15. In observance of National Police Week and in honor of Peace Officers Memorial Day, which is held annually to recognize law enforces killed or disabled in the line of duty, 97th SFS members covered their badge with black tape to honor fallen defenders. 97th SFS hosts the Gut Check obstacle course event
