97th AMW recognizes women's equality day
August 26th is nationally recognized as Women's Equality Day to commemorate the 1920 adoption of the Nineteenth Amendment to the United States Constitution, which allows women the right to vote. On this day, the ratification of women's suffrage in the U.S. is celebrated, as well as the heroes who worked endlessly for the movement. This year's theme is "Valiant Women of the Vote: Refusing to be Silenced." (U.S. Air Force graphic by Senior Airman Amanda Lovelace)
