Altus AFB, Okla. - Air refueling boom operators Air Force wide; gather April 18th to honor boom operators who lost their lives during the performance of their duties. This occasion marks the 31st annual assembly at the Boom Memorial in front of the 54th Air Refueling Squadron, 97 Air Mobility Wing, Altus AFB. As part of the ceremony, U.S. Air Force Master Sgt. Matthew Calisi, from the 97th Training Squadron, along with other Altus boom operators, reads all the names of fallen boom operators during action or on duty.
