ALTUS AFB, Okla. – Children along with U.S. Air Force Colonel Noel Zamot, 97th Mission Support Group Commander, plants a red bud tree outside the youth center in recognition of Earth Day April 22. The red bud tree was donated to the Balfour Betty Communities by Brian Nichols (right)of Charlie’s Hothouse and staff in Altus. Earth Day emphasizes environmental awareness and encourages people to apply conservation fundamentals to their everyday lives by using the three R’s: reduce, reuse, and recycle.
