Craig Wills, the 19th Air Force commander (center), and U.S. Air Force Chief Master Sgt. Erik Thompson, the 19th Air Force command chief (right), stand in the back of a C-17 after an airdrop on Nov. 5, 2019, at Altus Air Force Base, Okla. As part of the 19th Air Force command tour of the base, Maj. Gen. Wills and Chief Thompson got to witness an airdrop of cargo for the first time while harnessed out the back of a C-17.
