Underwriters Laboratories Inc. (UL) is notifying consumers that smoke alarms manufactured by AV Tech have not been evaluated for safety by UL and bear a counterfeit UL Mark for the United States.

Identification of Counterfeit UL Listing Mark: On the product: Marked with a counterfeit
UL Mark and the following information:
AV Tech or WizMart
Photoelectric Smoke Alarm

Identification of Legitimate UL Listing Mark: Legitimately Listed Smoke Alarms are marked "RETURN TO WIZMART TECHNOLOGY INC. 2F, Building B#143, Qi-Xin Road, Jiang-Dong Hi-Tech Park, Ning Bo; zip code:315040; China." Legitimately Listed Smoke Alarms are not marked with "UROX" near the UL Mark.
What you should do: UL recommends that users stop using the product immediately and return it to the place of purchase.
