
PA has an AF-wide website that will help us track our requests and progress, it is called the Public Affairs Productivity Portal(P3).
To request support in any of our sections, including scheduling a studio photo, Please submit requests at least 2 weeks in advance. Please do not submit Controlled Unclassified Information utilizing this system.
BEFORE submitting for a studio photo, ensure it meets one of the following criteria:
Studio Photography Guidelines
Please read this in its entirety prior to scheduling your official portrait. Failure to provide the correct information could result in your studio request being denied.
Appointments:
Studio photography is by appointment only and must be scheduled at least 24 hours in advance.
No walk-ins unless it’s an emergency affecting immediate readiness (must be requested by a unit deployment manager, supervisor, or first sergeant).
Eligibility:
Official portraits are provided for:
- Squadron-level and above leadership (commander, deputy/vice commander, senior enlisted leader, first sergeant).
- Quarterly/annual award winners competing at the wing level or higher, when required.
- Key staff positions outlined in AFIs/DODIs (e.g., Agency Chief, IG, SARC, IPP, ADC, EO).
- Due to office manning, biography photos will be supported for E-8 and above, O-5 and above, and those who are retiring with 20+ years of active duty service. All other requests—other than those outlined previously—are subject to approval by the PA NCOIC, Superintendent and/or PA Chief. Others need written approval from their first sergeant or commander.
Photo Requirements:
When scheduling, provide photo size and type (e.g., 5x7, 8x10, full-length, head and shoulders).
- Unique requests (e.g., special duty packages, awards) require proof of official portrait requirement (screenshot of award instructions).
- Typed text will not appear on digital or printed photos.
- Electronic copies only unless AFI/DODI requires printed display (e.g., chain of command boards).
**In the "purpose" section of your request, please use the eligibility and photo requirements (above) to justify your need for a studio photo. Failure to provide the correct justification may result in your studio request being denied.**
Missed Appointments:
If you miss an appointment without prior notice, your first sergeant will be contacted.
Reshoots:
Only authorized for technical issues (camera or lighting).
For other reasons (e.g., incorrect ribbons, wrong photo type), a signed memorandum from your supervisor is required.
Passport Photos:
We provide passport photos for Official Passports ONLY. Personnel and dependents from the 97 AMW being stationed overseas must have their orders, RIP or notification letter to receive passport photos are supported M-F, from 0900-1500. Passport photos will not be supported on wing training days.
