The 97th Air Mobility Wing offers organized group tours to educate people about the U.S. Air Force, Altus Air Force Base and it’s missions. Tours are only provided to organized groups such as civic organizations, schools, businesses, and reunion groups. Certain conditions and restrictions apply to all base tours. Tour groups must meet the following requirements:

Size: Tours are limited to a minimum of 10 participants and a maximum of 40.

Transportation: The Public Affairs Office arranges for transportation on base with a Public Affairs escort.

Dates: Tours are only offered on weekdays, not including federal holidays. Tours will not exceed six hours to include a lunch break, if requested.

Mobility: Tour participants should expect periods of standing and a moderate amount of walking.

Base Access: Individuals requesting base access must consent to a background check for security purposes. You MUST bring and present the same valid photo ID.
To request a base tour, fill out a Tour Request Form and e-mail it to 97amw.pa@us.af.mil at least FOUR WEEKS prior to the event date. If your organization has any questions, feel free to contact us Monday through Friday, 7:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. at (580) 481-7700.
