ALTUS AIR FORCE BASE, Okla -- On November 12, 2010, the 97th Air Mobility Wing lost a valued member of our team. Staff Sgt. Andrew Bubacz was assigned to the 97th Communications Squadron while at Altus Air Force Base. Bubacz was tasked to deploy to Afghanistan in support of Operation Enduring Freedom where he made the ultimate sacrifice. Every year since then, the 97th CS has held a ceremony in his honor and the 97th AMW has named a road on base after him and dedicated a monument to his memory.
