6/25/2010 - ALTUS AIR FORCE BASE, Okla.  -- The 2010 Air Force Fitness changes will be implemented in the Air Force Fitness Management System July 1.

Because of this, system user maintenance must be preformed July 1-9, and the Air Force Personnel Center is asking that only people designated as "Super Users" and "Fitness Information Managers" access AFFMS during that window so they can align appropriate users under the correct user roles.

"(The shutdown) should not disrupt daily operations," said Mr. William Radford, Altus AFB Fitness Assessment Cell.

All other service members are not to enter the AFFMS application during this time for any reason.

"Do not log into AFFMS to view or print scores or history under 'my fitness' tab or enter scores. Additionally, do not use AFFMS to align or change PASCODES, align user roles under 'manage users' tab, review or edit under 'education/intervention' tab, or run reports or metrics under 'metrics tab'," according to Air Education and Training Command instructions.

AFFMS will be available for normal use July 10.

"When they load the new system it will allow those with access to go into the system and load the new data based off the new systems updates. The whole point of informing people about the shutdown of AFFMs is to keep people off the system so they don't have any issues while they are loaded the new info. The system is based off the old standards of PT testing, with the new system it will be loaded with the new standards," said Mr. Radford.
