Colonel JEFFREY M. MARSHALL

Colonel Jeffrey M. Marshall is Commander, 97th Air Mobility Wing, Altus Air Force Base, Oklahoma. As commander, he is responsible for the formal training of all KC-46 Pegasus, C-17 Globemaster III and KC-135 Stratotanker aircrews for active duty, Air National Guard, and Air Force Reserve units, as well as multiple partner air forces from across the world. In addition, the wing simultaneously maintains a worldwide capability to support combatant commanders by deploying mission-ready Airmen on short notice. Colonel Marshall was commissioned in 2000 as a graduate of Baylor University. He completed a Master of Science Degree in International Relations and National Security from Troy University in March 2008, a Master of Arts Degree in National Security and Strategic Studies from the College of Naval Command and Staff in 2012, and a Master of Strategic Studies from Air War College in 2019. He is also a graduate of the Maritime Advanced Warfighting School, the U.S. Navy’s advanced studies group. Colonel Marshall has 3,000 hours in the KC-135R, C-17A, T-1, T-37, and T-6 aircraft. He has deployed in support of twelve named operations, including twice in support of Operations ENDURING and IRAQI FREEDOM.
