Community Action Board (CAB) This quarterly board is comprised of senior leadership and helping agency representatives and is chaired by the Installation Commander. The CAB takes a strategic, cross-functional look at quality of life, personnel readiness, and community issues to formulate long-term solutions.
What is AHA? The Community Action Team (CAT)? The CAT functions as the action arm of the CAB and develops a comprehensive, coordinated plan for integrating and implementing community outreach and prevention programs (e.g., financial management; violence awareness, intervention, and prevention; health promotion; tobacco cessation, etc.). Altus Helping Agencies (AHA) identifies individual, family, installation, and community concerns that impact the readiness and resilience of AF members and their families. AHA prepares a base Comprehensive Internegative prevention plan at least every 6 months to guide the activities of the CAT, CAB, and member organizations using the results of AF community needs assessments and other available data.
Altus Helping Agencies (AHA) AHA consists of representatives from all base helping agencies. It is Altus’ version of the Air Force's "CAT". Each agency fulfills its own unique purpose in providing support to "Team Altus“. AHA is a shining example of the adage, "the whole is greater than the sum of its parts."
