The Altus Air Force Base Armed Services YMCA, First Sergeants Council, Exceptional Family Member Program, Airman and Family Readiness Center, and the Mental Health Clinic teamed up to hand out brochures and welcome bags during an ASYMCA open house drive-thru event on March 18, 2021, at Altus AFB, Oklahoma.

Brochures were distributed to Airmen and their families with information about various programs designed to provide them assistance. The programs include: Airmen Against Drunk Driving, Washer Dryer Program, Operation Bring Baby Home, Operation Little Bookworms, Military Welcome Center, Operation Shoe Away Hunger, Hero’s Pantry, Operation Little Learners, Children’s Waiting Room, Operation Santa Boots, Operation Holiday Joy, and the Volunteer Program.

The welcome bags were each unique and supplied different necessity items for single Airmen, families with younger children and families with newborn babies. For more information about the ASYMCA and programs they sponsor, call the ASYMCA at (580) 481-6523 or visit https://www.asymca.org/oklahoma.
