ALTUS AIR FORCE BASE, Okla. --

Members of the 97th Air Mobility Wing read youth financial education books to 3rd graders at L. Mendel Rivers Elementary School during Military Financial Freedom Month, April 26 – 30, 2021. This was part of an initiative by the Airmen and Family Readiness Center to teach the importance of saving and spread financial literacy to local youths. Each day, new volunteers from the base came and read to the children about different financial topics including: working, saving, giving, spending, integrity and debt.
