89th AW visits AAFB with opportunities for Airmen

Pilots and crew members from the 89th Airlift Wing based out of Joint Base Andrews, Maryland, visited Altus Air Force Base, Oklahoma, to educate, recruit, and showcase their mission to 97th Air Mobility Wing Airmen, Aug. 13, 2021.

The 89th AW’s mission is to provide global special air mission airlift, logistics, aerial port and communications for the president, vice president, cabinet members, combatant commanders, other senior military and elected leaders tasked by the White House, the Air Force chief of staff and Air Mobility Command.

U.S. Air Force Maj. Samantha Caszatt, 89th Operations Group director of personnel, Tech. Sgt. Gabriella Cole, 1st Airlift Squadron evaluator flight attendant, and Tech. Sgt. Julie Horvath, 99th Airlift Squadron special air missions flight attendant, spoke about the career opportunities and mission of the 89th AW, as well as their personal experiences with the wing.

Eleven Airmen from the 89th AW and a C-37B flew to Altus AFB to educate Airmen on the worldwide mission they carry out every day.
