Free vehicle inspections Published May 27, 2010 By Tech. Sgt. Jennifer Seidl 97th Air Mobility Wing ALTUS AIR FORCE BASE, Okla. -- The 97th Logistics Readiness Squadron, Vehicle Management flight, is providing free privately owned vehicle inspections on base June 4, from 10 a.m.-2 p.m., at the Freedom Community Center. This will be a visual inspection only and the customers will be given an inspection checklist afterwards. With the summer traveling season just around the corner, now is the perfect time to have the professionals at Vehicle Management take a quick look and make sure our most precious resource, people, are protected before traveling. "The whole Vehicle Management flight came up with the idea," said Staff Sgt. Kyle Bagley, of the 97th Logistics Readiness Squadron. "We are excited to help out on base and the community whenever we get a chance too." For those interested in perusing their auto maintenance and repairs, the Auto Hobby Shop in building 343, next to Outdoor Recreation, has a fully equipped garage for the base population. A full list of services and prices can be found at the Auto Hobby website. According to the website, "A qualified mechanic is on duty to help. In addition, on-going classes for beginners are conducted. Tools, manuals, general stalls and car lifts, and wash stalls are all available for use."
