Airman First Class Bryan Franklin, Altus AFB Quarterly Award winner! Published May 18, 2010 By Senior Airman Garrett Cole 97th Air Mobility Wing Public Affairs ALTUS AIR FORCE BASE, Okla. -- Airman First Class Bryan Franklin is the recipient of the 97 AMW Honor Guard Quarterly Recognition Program award. Airman Franklin is an Air Transportation Apprentice, and due to his outstanding reputation, integrity, ethical conduct, and showcasing of Air Force standards, he was recruited into the 97 AMW Honor Guard. "This is my very first large scale recognition being in the Air Force and I hope to accomplish a lot more," said Franklin. This award is presented to Honor Guard members who demonstrate an exceptional work ethic and attitude. Airman Franklin expressed how his hard work has paid off and motivated him for future endeavors. "With this award I see hard work truly does payoff so I'm now determined to keep pushing forward in trying to better myself in my Air Force career," said Franklin. "Also, I wish to achieve senior airman below the zone when the time comes, and hope this award will be a positive reflection on me and my dedication to what I do. His many accomplishments include: performing 11 ceremonial details across Oklahoma and Texas, sacrificing weekends to support out-of-state funerals, leading ten funerals for fallen retirees, and performing every detail with pride and devotion. Airman Franklin hails from Concord, N.C., and graduated from Concord High School in 2008. Airman Franklin offered advice to other Airmen who wish to receive the same appreciation. Franklin stated,"Sit and think about what you want to achieve not only in the Air Force but in your life... after you have taken a moment to think about all of your goals and what you want to achieve, there is only one thing left to do...GO GET IT!"
