By popular demand, Club Altus will retain its name as new programs move forward and renovations finish up! Out of 200 name suggestions, the final vote came down to five finalists: Burning Spear Club, Wings of Freedom Club, The Tailwind Club, Kingsley Club and Club Altus. A one- question survey was developed for voting and emailed base-wide. Voting was open for a period of two weeks, and 999 votes were cast. In the end, "Club Altus" was the overwhelming favorite, garnering 53 percent of the vote. "We would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone for their interest and involvement in our club renaming contest." said Col. Noel Zamot, 97th Mission Support Group commander. "Keeping 'Club Altus' as the name focuses on our heritage as we work to make your Club the best!"
