The Department of Defense Sexual Assault Prevention Response Program held a t-shirt decorating event for various military installations, including Altus Air Force Base, in support of sexual assault prevention.
The shirts were decorated by personnel from squadrons throughout the base March 3. The t-shirts were decorated with many creative images and statements that made a strong stand against sexual assault, and will be sent to the Pentagon, Washington D.C., as part of a permanent display.
"I've been pleased with the response we've gotten up to this point with everyone's participation. It's exciting to know their efforts will be seen at the Pentagon", said Cheryl Jones, Sexual Assault Response Coordinator. There will be another t-shirt decorating prior the wing staff meeting March 16. For those personnel who would still like to participate, there will also be another t-shirt decorating opportunity open to all March 17 at the Freedom Community Center.
