The final evaluations are in and the Maintenance Directorate report card shows a 90.5 percent rating -- an "A" for the evaluation. "This was one of the best inspections we've had," said T.O. Hilley, A-TEAM maintenance director. "The inspection team was completely professional from the very start. The team conducted 917 evaluations overall and we did really well." The results show the Maintenance Directorate is providing safe and reliable aircraft to meet wing missions and are above the command averages for all 11 focus areas. The evaluators also noted seven honorable mentions: Aerospace Ground Equipment bench stock program best in unit, AGE maintenance scheduler maintained excellent equipment records, local manufacture office developed comprehensive local procedures, Maintenance Supply Liaison developed a local checklist outlining all required steps for ordering parts, Munitions flight Senior Inspector developed a very comprehensive inspector training plan, Plans and Scheduling documentation and aircraft jacket files are superbly maintained, and the Maintenance Learning Center developed innovative training tools. The biennial inspection ensures maintenance technician proficiency, equipment condition and looks at other command-developed focus areas. The task evaluations are rated as pass/fail and a pass is determined when the number of discrepancies does not exceed established quality standards. According to Mr. Hilley, "The A-TEAM has been proving the equipment necessary to get the flying training mission accomplished for nearly 12 years now. This inspection validates the quality of our personnel and performance."
