Altus AFB tops CFC goal Published Dec. 4, 2007 ALTUS AIR FORCE BASE, Okla. -- The 2007 Altus Air Force Base Combined Federal Campaign, which ended Dec. 3, exceeded the $75,000 goal by 25 percent, according to Capt. Jerry M. Fausch, CFC project officer. "The total at the end of Monday was $93,852," said Captain Fausch. "If this is anything like last year there will be even more donations trickling in as unit representatives finish turning in their pledge cards, so I expect the percentage to be even higher." The CFC is one of two authorized federal annual fund-raising drives that benefits thousands of non-profit charities. "The drive was shortened by two weeks this year to allow time to list the local charities that registered and for our principal combined fund organization to finish another drive," Captain Fausch added. "The funds will be distributed by the Lawton-Fort Sill United Way."
