Colonel Gregorio assumes command of the 97th Medical Group

ALTUS AFB -- --  Col. Cheryl E. Gregorio assumed command of the 97th Medical Group, Altus Air Force Base, Okla., from Col. Dawn M. Harl during a ceremony, July 11.

Colonel Gregorio has been the Director of Health Service Operations at Peterson Air Force Base, Colo., since 2005. She is prior enlisted and was commissioned in 1982 as a Physician Assistant. She is accompanied by her husband, MSgt. (ret.) Richard Gregorio.

Colonel Harl, Commander of the 97th MDG for the past three years, is now the Deputy Command Surgeon and Chief Nurse for the Air Force Space Command, Peterson AFB, Colo. Col. Carlton D. Everhart II, 97th Air Mobility Wing commander, pinned Colonel Harl with the Legion of Merit for her exemplary service as the 97th MDG commander.
