Maintenance gets new chief

Terrell O. Hilley assumed directorship of the 97th Maintenance Directorate, Altus Air Force Base, Oct. 1. As director of maintenance, he oversees four divisions: 97th Tanker Aircraft Division, 97th Airlift Aircraft Division, 97th Maintenance Division, and the 97th Maintenance Operations Division. 

His A-Team divisions support and maintain all assigned C-5A, C-17A and KC-135R aircraft and support equipment as well as transient aircraft. 

"T.O." Hilley is a retired Air Force chief master sergeant where he served most of his active- duty and reserve career in aircraft maintenance units. During his Air Force career, he served at Altus AFB from 1985 to 1987 where he was the senior enlisted advisor to the 340th Air Refueling Wing, followed by serving as the technical advisor to the Wing's deputy director for maintenance, a period where Altus converted from KC-135A to KC-135R aircraft. 

He has more than 42 years of aircraft maintenance experience.
Mr. Hilley returned to Altus AFB in 1996 in as the A-Team airlift flight chief and promoted in 1999 to the deputy director of maintenance.
