Q: Where are you from?

A: Megargel, Texas.

Q: Why did you join the military?

A: To be able to go to school and explore the world.

Q: Can you tell me a little bit about your job?

A: The 97th Comptroller Squadron finance office provides up-to-date knowledge on unique financial situations for every Airman on base, to include the defense travel system and government travel cards. I am the customer service and travel lead of the finance office. We assist everyone with all financial situations and are in constant communication with different MAJCOMS to assist with financial issues that cannot be solved at the base level. We host an orientation with new members every week in a mass in-processing and assist them with their travel vouchers when they undergo a permanent change of station or temporary duty travel to or from Altus Air Force Base.

Q: How does your job contribute to the mission?

A: Finance assists Altus AFB members with financial clarity and confidence and provides world class service.

Q: What’s your favorite part about the job/being in the service?

A: Helping a customer overcome a financial burden and getting to meet Airmen of all ranks.

Q: What do you do for fun in your off time?

A: I enjoy building computers and visiting my family in Texas.
