Get to know Airman of the Month Senior Airman Devon Jacobson, 97th Security Forces Squadron patrolman.

Jacobson was nominated for the award because of his vigilance and effort during an incident where he administered care to a distraught individual. He also ensures the safety of Airmen and their families around base.

Where are you from?
I am from Swansboro, North Carolina.

Why did you join the military?
My father served in the U.S. Marine Corps for 20 years, and I wanted to carry on our family's military legacy.

What is your job?
I am a Security Forces mid shift patrolman.

What do you believe are the main factors or character traits that have contributed to your success in this job?
I am self-motivated and I consistently seek opportunities to improve myself and enhance my work performance.

What is your favorite part about being in your specific career?
My favorite part is the people I work with, they are the main reason I like showing up to work and they make the job fun.
