The Altus AFB Youth Center will be collecting donated items to help support the ACMI House in Altus.

"The ACMI House is a program that serves victims of domestic violence, sexual assault and stalking," said Anthony Coward, 97th Force Support Squadron Youth Center coordinator. "They work to serve victims and educate the community."

The ACMI House is not only a support center for the community but also for Airmen and their families.

"We are collecting specific items to donate to the ACMI House," said Coward. "The ACMI House can use all kinds of items, to include toiletries, diapers, baby wipes and even old cell phones. The ACMI House uses the items to help continue supporting their victims in need."

"The purpose of this project is to help the ACMI House take care of the people they serve," said Coward. "It is a really big help to the victims of abuse and stalking."

Anyone is able to donate items. Donations may be dropped off at the Youth Center in Building 1866, the 97th Medical Group with Barbara Severson-Olson or at Family Advocacy in Building 52 before the end of October 2014.

For more information on the project or how to donate, call the youth center at 580-481-7903.

"We are not looking for any monetary donations, just toiletry items, diapers, wipes and old cell phones for these women and children victims at ACMI House," added Coward.
