Grund Base Tax Coordinator ALTUS AIR FORCE BASE, Okla. -- The base legal office is offering tax assistance for military members (including guard and reserve) and their dependents. Tax support for retirees and federal civilian employees is on a space available basis. Volunteers will accept appointments for Jan. 29 and later. Eligible individuals may contact any of the volunteers listed below for assistance and information on what documents must be provided at the appointment. The legal office is not stocking tax forms. Federal tax forms are available on-line at IRS.GOV or through the individual on-line state tax sites. The legal office has a list of these sites. Free "do-it-yourself" federal tax preparation and e-filing are available through Military One Source at: www.militaryonesource.com or by calling 1-800-342-9647. This site uses a free version of H&R Block® software for military members. The software is a simple question and answer program that is a quick and easy way to complete and e-file your own federal taxes without fees.
