97th AMW welcomes new commander with change of command ceremony
ALTUS AIR FORCE BASE, Okla. – Gen. Edward A. Rice Jr., commander of Air Education and Training Command, retrieves the 97th Air Mobility Wing flag from Col. Anthony B. Krawietz, 97th AMW commander, as part of the 97th AMW change of command ceremony, held at Wings of Freedom Park, June 27. Col. Krawietz relinquished command to Col. William A. Spangenthal, incoming 97th AMW commander, in a centuries-old tradition that allows the passing of responsibility from one commander to the next.
