97th CES Electric Shop powers Altus AFB
ALTUS AIR FORCE BASE, Okla. – Airman 1st Class Randy Moreno, 97th Civil Engineer Squadron electrician, climbs a utility pole in the pole yard, May 30. Electricians use gaffs which are attached to their boots to assists climbing poles. The Electric Shop’s mission is to supply Altus AFB with power by building or repairing power lines and other overhead conductors. They also maintain energy for the fire alarms, lights on the flightline, low voltage interiors, high voltage exteriors and other sources of energy throughout the base.
