97th CES Electric Shop powers Altus AFB
ALTUS AIR FORCE BASE, Okla. – Airman 1st Class Vladimir Purdey, 97th Civil Engineer Squadron electrician, tightens a through-bolt in a utility pole in the pole yard, May 30. The bolt was used to hold a cross arm on a utility pole for power lines and other overhead conductors. The Electric Shop’s mission is to supply Altus AFB with power. They also maintain energy for the fire alarms, lights on the flightline, low voltage interiors, high voltage exteriors and other sources of energy throughout the base.
