Armed Forces Day Parade
ALTUS, Okla. – Retired veterans Service members from Altus Air Force Base, and various agencies throughout Altus march in the Armed Forces Day Parade, May 18. The event is held within the community to give appreciate and awareness to armed forces member past and present. Armed Forces Day was created in 1949 to honor Americans serving in the five U.S. military branches – Army, Navy, Marines, Air Force and Coast Guard.
