ALTUS AIR FORCE BASE, Okla. -- (From left) Senior Airman Raymond Salazar, 97th Communications Squadron, Senior Airman Ryan Gava, 97th Civil Engineering Squadron, Airmen 1st Class Chris Schaaf and Thomas Baszler, 97th Medical Operations Squadron raise the U.S. flag at the Wings of Freedom Park Feb. 3 at Altus AFB, Okla. The U.S. flag was taken down due to a severe ice storm which damaged many power lines on base. The flag raising ceremony symbolizes the determination and resiliency of all Altus Airmen as they recover the base from the worst area storm in 62 years.
