ALTUS AIR FORCE BASE, Okla. - U.S. Army Staff Sgt. John Bernard is one of several Army Soldiers who have received photographic assistance here at Altus Air Force Base Jan. 15. Due to an overbooked schedule at Fort Sill, Army Soldiers made the long drive to the Altus Air Force Base photography studio to have their photos taken for their promotion boards. Unlike the Air Force, Army soldiers must submit to the promotion board a high-quality photo of themselves dressed in their Class A uniforms. The photo must include the Soldier’s personal information in white lettering in the upper left corner and the first initial and a portion of the photographer’s social security number in the upper right corner. Although Altus photographers do not typically do Army promotion board photos, the photographers are trained on how to do them to provide assistance when necessary.
