C-17 receives makeover

ALTUS AIR FORCE BASE, Okla. – Senior Airman Tyler Shelly, 97th Air Mobility Wing Maintenance crew chief, inspects the airdrop railings of a C-17 Globemaster III cargo aircraft during a 720-day home station refurbishing Oct. 10, 2013. With improved capabilities of potential adversaries, the airdrop system must remain serviceable to meet air mobility requirements, particularly in support of large or heavy sized cargo used to accomplish the mission Altus AFB provides.
