Great Plains Stampede Rodeo welcomes Altus Airmen
ALTUS, Okla. – An Altus cowboy wrestles a young steer during the 36th Annual Great Plains Stampede Rodeo at the Altus rodeo arena, Aug. 21 2014. During the steer wrestling event, contestants have to jump from the back of a moving horse and wrestle a running steer to the ground. The military appreciation night at the Great Plains Stampede Rodeo arena included events like the barrel racing, bull and bronco riding and steer wrestling.
