: Lt. Col. Janet Blanchard, commander of the 97th Medical Operations Squadron, and Chief Master Sgt. Justin Helin, the 97th Medical Group superintendent, look at a whiteboard that serves as a form of communication for units that helped the 97th MDG achieve 1,000 days without a serious safety event September 13, 2018, on Altus Air Force Base, Okla. A serious safety event is any mistake made by medical practitioners that harms a patient.
