Altus Maintenance Makes History, Removes First KC-46 Engine
A member of the 97th Air Mobility Wing KC-46A Pegasus maintenance team removes the chains from a harnessed KC-46A engine, June 26, 2019, at Altus Air Force Base, Okla. After 30 tedious minutes of carefully lowering the engine from the airframe, the chains once supporting the engine were removed, marking the first KC-46A engine removal in history.
