13 years in the making: Altus AFB opens new headquarters fire station
97th Air Mobility Wing (AMW) leadership and members of the Military Affairs Committee untwist a hose to commemorate the opening of the headquarters fire station at Altus Air Force Base, Oklahoma, Dec. 1, 2023. The new station will provide aircraft crash rescue and firefighting services, as well as firefighting equipment, a fire alarm system, and an emergency communications sensor center.
