Innovative Airman of the Week
ALTUS AIR FORCE BASE, Okla. – Staff Sgt. Daniel Burdick, 97th Medical Operations Squadron bioenvironmental engineering technician, was named Innovative Airman of the Week, May 20. Burdick fully maintained the capability of Homeland Defense equipment on less than $3,000 for this fiscal year, which normally costs up to $20,000 in maintenance, supply and annual upkeep. Burdick also identified unnecessary excess use of nitrogen gas for the 97th MDOS Hazardous Air Pollutant on Site equipment, saving the squadron up to $4,000.
