ALTUS AIR FORCE BASE, Okla. -- Tech. Sgt. Robert Carlson, 97th Civil Engineer Squadron NCO in charge of requirements and optimization, redesigned the squadron emergency recall program for greater efficiency and effectiveness. Carlson developed a new tracking system and graph, enabling the 97th CES to produce quicker and more accurate accountability numbers for the squadron. This update included a new flowchart for passing emergency information and led to a overall revitalization of the entire unit recall roster. Carlson proactively brought the recall procedure issues to the attention of the squadron leadership. Carlson took on the project with the upmost motivation, personally making the changes to the entire 165-person list. His new retrofitted recall roster enables unit emergency managers and Unit Command Control personnel to track numbers with ease and accuracy. It also facilitates loading the electronic data required by the wing and greatly enhances our ability to meet the four-hour reporting deadline. Along with the redesign, Carlson briefed squadron personnel and leadership on the changes, effectively making the flow of information clearer for recall procedures.
