Innovative Airman of the Week
ALTUS AIR FORCE BASE, Okla. – Tech. Sgt. Sammy Rogers, 97th Operations Support Squadron, NCO in charge of airfield management operations, was named Innovative Airman of the Week, March 21, 2013. Rogers created five electronic data collection forms used for day-to-day management of airfield operations and training records. Ultimately, the forms utilize an electronic format which simplifies and consolidates electronic records management. The training records inspection form was disseminated by the Headquarters Air Force Flight Standards Agency to all airfield management facilities Air Force-wide for documentation of training records compliance. For each base that adopts this innovative idea, airfield management will drastically cut printing requirements by more than 3,000 sheets of paper, saving approximately $1,000 per year.
