Innovative Airman of the Week

ALTUS AIR FORCE BASE, Okla. – Staff Sgt. Brent D. Quinn, 97th Logistics Readiness Squadron vehicle maintenance flight mechanic, was named Innovative Airman of the Week, March 13. Quinn researched and acquired 17 laptop computers, spare battery packs, chargers, battery pack docking stations and two secure storage cabinets from the A-Team at no cost. The combined cost of all equipment is valued at $55,000. The laptops allow the vehicle maintenance shop to access online technical orders and expedite data to troubleshoot problems on the vehicle. This allows the shop to drastically cut their paper and toner consumption and has surpassed other vehicle maintenance facilities Air Force-wide.
