ALTUS AIR FORCE BASE, Okla. – Senior Airman Balmore A. Solorio-Guardado, 97th Medical Operations Squadron bio-medical equipment journeyman, was named the Innovative Airman of the Week, Sept. 25, 2012. Solorio-Guardado is a member of the medical equipment maintenance management team and helped reduce annual MDG test equipment calibration costs by working with the local precision measurement equipment laboratory to find alternatives. Outside of his military duties he is active in the community. He recently in-processed 41 blood donors, collecting 51 units of blood used and stored in the statewide blood bank. He is also an active member of the Altus Blue Knights Honor Guard team. His current goals are to graduate Airman Leadership School, complete the three classes he is currently enrolled in, and to take on the challenge of being a front line supervisor.
