ALTUS AIR FORCE BASE, Okla. – Staff Sgt. Kyle J. Roen, 58th Airlift Squadron C-17 Formal Training Unit Instructor Loadmaster, was named the Innovative Airman of the Week, Sept. 18, 2012. Roen performs his military duties as a C-17 Loadmaster who provides initial and advanced Loadmaster training. He is also currently attending college full-time at the University of Oklahoma where he holds a 3.94 GPA and achieved the President’s Honor Roll for this past semester. Outside of his military duties, he volunteers 15 to 20 hours monthly as an instructor for the Altus High School band. He is an outstanding role model for more than 15 students and recently led a Respect Seminar, encouraging healthy group discussions and the importance of respecting fellow students.
