Key Spouse program

ALTUS AIR FORCE BASE, Okla. -- Key Spouse program members pose for a group photo April 19, 2012. The Key Spouse program was developed as a quality of life initiative because of concern for the well being of Air Force Families. One important responsibility of a Key Spouse is to care for families on base, which allows Airmen to focus on their mission at home and downrange. They also establish and maintain contact with incoming unit families and deployed members’ families. They act as liaisons between the Commanders, 1st Sergeants, and family members, directly impacting unit families’ morale. Altus AFB has 20 Key Spouses and 11 Key Spouse Mentors. For more information about the Key Spouse program, call 481-6761. (U.S. Air Force photo by Senior Airman Leandra Stepp / Released / 97th Air Mobility Wing Public Affairs)
